First things first, my name is Athena and I am the owner and curl artist behind HairCanvas in Pinole, CA.
My passion for curls is rooted in my childhood, growing up in a family as well as community of diverse curls, textures, backgrounds, and cultures. Diversity is celebrated and welcomed in my chair.
My greater focus is on tight curls, however I do still work with curls of all kinds. I have been in the industry since 2003 and have a personal commitment to stay teachable as technologies and trends are ever changing. My goal is to provide you with the best that I have from the education I receive to the services and education I provide to you.
