How did you transition to natural hair?

What protective hairstyles did you use while transitioning to natural?

Bantu knots, braids, twists, tapered barber cut

What were your go-to products during your transition?

Taliah Waajid and Aunt Jackie’s

What mistakes did you make along the way?

Not getting trim regularly. Getting color and bleach on unhealthy hair.

How did your family react to your natural hair journey?

Some were unhappy that I cut my hair. They had some real negative things to say.

If you relaxed your hair, did you ever go back to “the creamy crack”?

Nope, I’ll never go back

What’s your current hair regimen?

Shampoo and condition every 2 weeks, steam every other wash day, trim every 4-5 months

What are your favorite hairstyles?

2 strand twists, twistout, silk press once a year, knotless braids

What advice would you give to naturalistas out there?

Love your hair regardless of what anybody negative has to say.
